Finally got Council Approval

Hey everyone!

Finally a bit of news. We have just been informed that the builders now have their builders licence to finally start work on our house! Now we just have to find out when the scheduling will start. My guess will be in a few weeks and then hopefully we can have a slab down soon in a months time!

Where We're At

So we have had our finance approved and completed our Prestart meeting early last month. Now we are just basically waiting for Shire approval and then they can start scheduling and then the slab! Can't wait for this. It seems this has been a waiting game for us as we are both quite impatient by nature. It feels as if we have waited months and months when in fact it has just been a little over a month.

Our land is a 500 sqm block in a new estate in Wattle Grove. In fact, our block is one of the last to be purchased so we were very lucky we got it!

Welcome to my new blog. Basically I have created this blog to show those interested the process and journey that we are about to take with building our first home! Please feel free to leave comments.

We are building in the suburb of Wattle Grove in WA with Ideal Homes. The design we chose was the Atalanta and was clearly the option we both wanted right from the start.

I will try to update this as often as I can.
